New Speakers for GeoRabbble in the Hunter

Local spatial analytics powerhouse Anditi, are sharing with us two presentations.

Tony Campbell will share their story of Route clearance for Wind Turbines.

While Peter Jamieson will also be sharing Detection of road safety attributes and assets using mobile LiDAR and imagery.

First Speakers Announced!

With a week to go the Hunter GeoRabble speaker list is starting to build.

Our first two speakers are;

Tori Murrant from Monteath & Powys presenting on; ‘Building Bridges, Not Walls: Challenges, Use Cases, and the Road Ahead for GeoBIMs’.

Super topical after the Sydney GeoRabble Special Edition on Digital Twins

Andrew Cox from Newcastle City Council will present his talked titled, Advanced Data Wrangling

A lot of the community can relate to the issues of data wrangling.

As always, entry to GeoRabble is free and open to all who are interested in all things Geospatial.

However booking your ticket allows us to cater effectively and not waste food or funds unnecessarily and makes sure everyone gets a slice.

Doors open at 5:00pm and event starts at 6:00pm. Finish time is at 7:00pm.

The venue is: The Hub, Level 6, City Administration Centre, 12 Stewart Avenue, Newcastle West.

Call for Speakers – GeoRabble in the Hunter

GeoRabble is all about local enthusiast talking about all things Geo, your stories across all aspects of geo data, tech, people and projects.

With a first and hopefully regular event in Newcastle, on Wed, August the 23rd, this is the local communities chance to tell their stories, make connections and increase the reach of their work.

We make it super easy to present, 10 mins is all you need to prepare for.

So, if you have a story to tell about the work that you do, send an email to info@georabble.org and will slot you in.

All you need to do is send through a quick bullet point or two about your topic, who you are and that is it, simple.

Don’t forget to read the GeoRabble guide to help frame your presentation.

We are looking forward to seeing the stories that are out there in the Newcastle and Hunter community.

We are happy to announce, in collaboration with Newcastle City Council the next GeoRabble will be held on Wednesday, August the 23rd. 4 weeks from today.

Location: Newcastle City Council function room.

Will send out call for speakers, but start spreading the news all of you Rabblers in the Hunter, Newcastle and Central Coast.
