The launch of GeoRabble South Africa will take place in Gauteng & Cape Town on 10 & 17 July respectively.  Here follows the details for both events:

GeoRabble Gauteng #1, University of Pretoria

The first GeoRabble Gauteng will take place at the University of Pretoria on 10 July 2013.

Place: University of Pretoria, Geography 1-2

Time: 17:30 – 19:30

Format: A handful Geoinspired speakers, 10 mins each.

GeoRabble Cape Town #1, Mowbray

The first GeoRabble Cape Town event will take place at the Mowbray Golf Course on 17 July 2013 at 17:30 for 18h00.

Format: A handful Geoinspired speakers, 10 mins each, followed by open discussions, networking, food and drinks.

  • Chris Tanner – 3D Modeling
  • Sebastien Wenger – Low-cost 3D mapping of an urban environment using Structure from Motion
  • Wilhelm Herbst – Optimizing asset management with mobile GPS
  • Mike Steyn – The Moore’s affect in GIS

  • All – Open floor discussions
